Duke Corporate Education and LSE Enterprise joint venture
LSE Enterprise has formed a joint venture with Duke Corporate Education to provide specialised custom executive education aimed at the business needs of companies throughout the world.
Entitled Duke Corporate Education and LSE Enterprise , the joint venture draws upon Duke Corporate Education for a business focus and the academic resources of LSE for a geo-political and economic focus. The joint venture has already completed a number of successful programmes, including cross-border multi-industry projects in UK, US and Russia.
LSE is the leading social sciences institution in the world, and Duke Corporate Education was ranked #1 in the world in custom executive education by the Financial Times (15 May 2006) for the fourth year in a row. Thus, by bringing together the strengths of two groups of world-class educators, the venture offers an unparalleled range of expertise across the fields of management, political science, and social sciences.
Broadening Horizons
Duke Corporate Education's pre-eminence in designing and delivering tailored corporate learning along with LSE Enterprise's access to world leading research in social and political sciences is proving to be a powerful combination. The joint venture enables the two organisations to provide robust programmes to meet increasingly complex global business problems.
Blair Sheppard, chief executive officer of Duke Corporate Education is confident that the joint venture can provide corporate education that cannot be matched by traditional business schools. "We created a provider that sees the whole landscape of business across the world," he said. "In today's rapidly changing global business environment, we can provide a broader understanding of that environment by combining government, public policy, and economic content. The content will be within a change programme involving leadership issues, management matters, or functional excellence."
