Individual Education Programme for the CEO of a Leading Industrial Company

Client Request

When the CEO of a leading industrial company from an emerging markets country needed to enhance his knowledge of market-economy disciplines, he turned to LSE Enterprise to design and administer an individual executive education programme. To solidify his success and continue to excel in the future he needed to better understand the world in which his company operates and how to improve its competitive advantage.

Approach and Methodology

LSE Enterprise worked closely with the individual to design the programme that covered topics most relevant to his current and future objectives. The delivery structure combined attendance of selected Masters level lectures, private tutoring and one-on-one topical workshops with LSE experts, and independent study work.

Solution and Benefits

A comprehensive programme was developed that covered topics ranging from global market economics and international politics fundamentals to current trends in industrial relations and corporate governance. The implementation of this individual programme had to be organised around the executive's busy schedule as well as the experts' availabilities. While some of the regular LSE lectures and private tutoring sessions were pre-scheduled throughout the calendar year for this programme, a lot of ad hoc timetabling was undertaken to accommodate changing demands. LSE Enterprise  was able to maintain a flexible delivery structure that suited the mutual interests of the client and the LSE experts while maintaining the integrity of the overall programme. The CEO was able to immerse himself into the study of general subjects at the LSE as well as to engage in personalised discussions of particular interests and have access to relevant experts on demand.
